The new country group, King Calaway, burst onto the Nashville scene only a year ago – but man, have they been making waves! They introduced us to their sound and style with their debut self-titled EP, and now they’ve just dropped their brand-new album entitled Rivers, available as of October 4!
If you’re not yet familiar with the band – here’s what you need to know! The six-piece group is made up of Caleb Miller, Simon Dumas, Chris Deaton, Chad Michael Jervis, Austin Luther and Jordan Harvey – hailing from both the States and Europe. Their captivating vocals and powerhouse harmonies make them a standout in the industry – AND they’re also talented musicians.
This supergroup’s album, Rivers, features 12 tracks of perfectly curated tunes that showcase their ability to tell a story, and keep listeners entertained. Their country-pop style gives them a cross-genre vibe, making the record even more dynamic and easy to enjoy over and over again.
The album opens with an instant hit, “No Matter What,” which is upbeat and catchy. The second track, “More Than I Do,” slows things down a bit, but is the perfect love song you’ll want on repeat. The third and title-track, “Rivers” presents a new vibe that builds throughout the song, and will keep you dancing along to the beat. The fourth track was a standout smash for us, entitled “Obvious” co-written by Canadian singer-songwriter, Steven Lee Olsen. This tune will also keep you swaying and singing along by the time the first chorus hits. The album then slows down a bit for the emotional tunes, “Missing You,” “Grow Old,” “I Do,” and “Picture of the Way You Are,” but keeps that upbeat fun vibe with “Driver’s Seat,” that is perfect for roadtrippin’! King Calaway rounds out the album with their debut single, “World For Two,” the upbeat cover tune “Love The One You’re With,” and the emotional tune, “I Did.” All tracks have strong musicality, vocals and storytelling - that mixed with King Calaway’s harmonies - are just incredible. Start to finish, fans will be consistently impressed by this group’s sound. The record curates an eclectic mix of stories and sound to keep listeners engaged from the second they hit play!
